GENERAL INFORMATION

REGISTRATION
This tournament will have a maximum of 10 teams, all registered teams after that will be wait-listed.
Non-refundable payment is due by April 1, 2016. If payment is not received, wait-listed teams will have the opportunity to enter the tournament.
This is a MASS ASA sanctioned tournament. Teams must be registered through the Mass ASA and listed on www.majoasa.org site as "Class C" at least two weeks prior to the event.

ASA/USA Softball MA. is now requiring ALL ADULT BENCH PERSONNEL to complete the ASA/USA Softball National Background checks for the 2016 season and to have the approved background check card visible at all times during ANY ASA/USA Softball MA. event. This includes local tournaments as well as any ASA/USA Softball Championship Play event (States, Regionals, Nationals). Coaches without this card WILL NOT be allowed onto the field during ASA/USA Sanctioned events.

DIRECTIONS
The tournament games will be played at the Mill Pond School located at 6 Olde Hickory Path, Westborough, Massachusetts. Additional fields if necessary are located at Greg Montalbano Memorial Field (aka Greg’s Field) 66 Upton Road Westborough, Massachusetts. Directions are included in tournament documents.

PARKING
There is a large parking lot located in front of the fields at Mill Pond School, parking shouldn’t be an issue. Please note that there is reserved parking at the field entrance for all umpires and tournament officials only.
Greg's field parking by shed and batting cage will also be reserved parking for umpires and tournament officials. Please do not park in these designated areas. Parking for Greg's field is located on Belknap St.

FIELDS
There are no bleachers at the Mill Pond fields, but there is plenty of room for lawn chairs. Field A (Mill Pond Left) is on your left as you face the fields and Field B (MIll Pond Right) is to the right. Dogs and personal grills are not allowed at either of the facilities. There are no dugouts so we recommend teams bring pop up tents for shade. Fields have irrigation so are in great shape and the maintenance crew drags and limes fresh lines prior to every game.

CONCESSIONS
We will be offering pizza and a variety of snacks and drinks for the weekend, including assorted candy, chips, goldfish crackers, gatorade, and water.

T-SHIRTS
Tournament t-shirts will be available for sale at the Concession Stand.

AWARDS
Individual trophies will be presented to the winning team and the runner-up team. After every game, each team will select an MVP, who will receive an MVP pin.
Note: No player should receive more than one MVP pin throughout pool play or the playoff round. Please check with the opposing coach to see who has already received a pin. In the championship game, all girls are eligible for a pin, whether or not they’ve previously received one.

FINAL SEEDING
Match-ups and start times for Sunday’s playoff round will be posted to the MASS ASA JO website by 7pm Saturday.
